Our Mission

At Citizens in Defense of Waller County (CDWC) our goal is to inform and empower rural Texans as we push for transparency around the proposed TexasLand USA theme park—a development spearheaded by Lizzy McGee that threatens the integrity of our land, heritage, and community values.

Developers, lobbyists, and outside decision-makers promoting this project, as well as TexasLand USA theme park themselves have not been transparent, truthful, or meaningfully present in the very community it seeks to transform. Critical questions remain unanswered. Promises remain vague. And local concerns continue to be ignored.

This platform exists to expose how TexasLand USA theme park could irreversibly damage the foundation of rural  world Texas life—from harming our environment and overwhelming infrastructure, to erasing historical landmarks, disrupting ecosystems, and diminishing our agricultural identity.

We are committed to protecting the authentic character of our region through public education, grassroots advocacy, and civic engagement. CDWC is not affiliated with or endorsed by TexasLand USA theme park or any related entities. This site belongs to the people who live here—those who have the most to lose and the greatest reason to speak out.
