The Story Of This Place

The Story of Texas Was Written Here.

Long before anyone proposed a theme park, this land had already helped shape the history of Texas.

From Bernardo Plantation and Groce's Ferry to Washington-on-the-Brazos and the Twin Sisters, this landscape witnessed the events that helped create the Republic of Texas.

The people who lived, farmed, and fought here left a legacy that still defines this place today.

Today, visitors can still stand where history happened, explore these historic places, and experience a story that has never needed to be recreated.

The story of Texas was written here long before anyone imagined celebrating it with a theme park.
